The Mayfair is located in the seaside resort of Scarborough on the east coast. It has an advantageous position on Scarborough's famous esplanade, overlooking the south bay and harbour, and within a stone throw of the famous Rose and Italian gardens. The property comprises mid-parade premises built in the late Victorian era.

It has a small patio frontage and a ramp for easy access. The location of the property offers expansive sea views and is on a reasonably level position and close to local shops and amenities, including churches of varying denominations. The property is approximately one and a half mile south of Scarborough town centre.

The Mayfair caters for 22 clients over pension age. We are committed to staff training to ensure that they possess the necessary skills to care for our clients both physically and psychologically with a sympathetic approach. Prospective clients are encouraged to visit the home two or three times prior to admission. The first four weeks of residence are treated as a trial period before the big decision to take up permanent residence is made. We aim to provide a happy, homely atmosphere and our clients are encouraged to bring in personal furniture, pictures and ornaments to make their own rooms more familiar. Clients' relatives are welcome to visit at anytime and are encouraged to take meals with the client when they wish.
